Rules

All rules subject to change.

Team Rules

  • You must have between 3 and 5 members on a team. The team captain can be anyone on the team.
  • Level restrictions are as follows:
  • 0-1: Level 500+
  • 0-2: Level 200-499
  • (No restrictions): Level 50-199

Match Rules

  • This is a Score v2, 3v3 tournament.
  • All matches are live. Notify your team captain if you have a conflict so they can accommodate. If you do not, you will be treated as a no-show.
  • If you are 5 minutes late to the match, you will still be able to play if you submit a warmup, but you will suffer a score penalty.
  • If you are 10+ minutes late to the match, you will forfeit your right to play in the match and your team will forfeit points to the opponent equal to the number of people on the team who did not show up.
  • In the event that a team has fewer than 3 players available:
  • 2 players - The match will still be played 2v2. The side that does not have enough players will always be at a one game disadvantage.
  • 0-1 players - The match is immediately forfeit.

How to Play

  • At the start of each match, each player will submit a warmup. This warmup can be from any topic (agreed on by both teams), and it is recommended that you play someone from the opposite team.
  • Expect matches to be anywhere between 1 - 4 hours. Group stage matches will be much shorter, but finals may take a while.
  • You will have 15 minutes to complete each round. All games must be live. If your opponent is not active, you must send a challenge after 5 minutes. Games with half a result or no result will result in 0's for the individuals who did not play.
  • There will be 5 minutes of intermission between each game. Discuss team swaps and mods during this time. Failure to submit a new lineup for the new round will result in the roster from the previous round being used with no mods applied.
  • During this time, you may submit late games. For each minute that you are late in submitting your game, you will lose 20 points. After this, no more submissions will be accepted.
  • When all games in a round have been completed, the moderators will compare the wins and losses of each team. The point for that round will be assigned based on these criteria. If there is a draw in any one of these criteria, the next criterion is evaluated.
  • Total number of wins
  • Total score after mods
  • Total score of the winners after mods
  • Total raw score
  • Total raw score of the winners
  • (Total number of difficulty-increasing mods) - (Total number of difficulty-decreasing mods)
  • If, somehow, all of these are draws, the teams are set into a DRAW phase, where there is no point given out in the current round, but the next round is worth 2 points. If that round ends up being a draw as well, both teams gain 1 point.
  • The first team to fulfill the winning condition wins.

Group Stage

  • Group stage is round-robin, main topic only, and best of 5.
  • The main topic is an "all mod" topic. Each player can choose any combination of up to 3 mods. No two individuals per team may have the same combination.
  • Drawings for group stage will be done about a week before the tournament starts.
  • The top team of each group advances to Winners' Bracket, while the last place team of each group is eliminated. The rest go to Losers' Bracket. There is no Underground.

Bracket Stage

  • Bracket stage is double elimination, and best of 7-11, depending on how deep into the bracket the match is.
  • In the bracket phase, captains roll for first pick and bans. The losing team bans first, then the winning team bans second; these topics cannot be chosen by either team. Then the winning team picks, and picks alternate from there.
  • Side topic categories:
  • In-Game (No Mod) - Players cannot choose mods.
  • Competitive (OsuHR.png) - Players are locked onto the OsuHR.png mod.
  • Reaction Time (OsuDT.png) - Players are locked onto the OsuDT.png mod and cannot choose other mods.
  • Spin-Offs (OsuHD.png) - Players are locked onto the OsuHD.png mod and cannot choose other mods.
  • Problem Solving (Free Mod) - Each player can choose any combination of up to 3 mods. However, at least one difficulty-increasing mod must be used on a team.
